CATCH THEM YOUNG
CATCH THEM YOUNG: An Open letter to the proprietor of SAF Polytechnic Iseyin.
Dear Sir,
Let me first congratulate you on the commencement of Academic activities, in the 1st ever private owned Polytechnic in Iseyin and the entire Oke-Ogun, this is indeed a record breaking occasion. You have not just engraved your name in gold, but you've also brought unending generational blessings upon your household and your entire relations. It is our prayer that the Almighty Allah continue to bless the management, protect the staff, endow the students with wisdom and understanding, and may He continue to put the entire Iseyin Populace together, for continual greatness.
It is no more news that the school had once being under construction and it struggled with the rigours of getting accredited with NBTE sometime, but today to HIS glory, it has started impacting knowledge. The kèké ìmò àti Omolúàbí has taken off.
However, permit me to quickly drop these hints, towards ensuring a conducive environment for learning activities and by extension, a crises free community. It is very sacrosanct to note that with every gargantuan development of this nature, there must be some counter challenges. But the good news is that, if adequate measure is promptly taken, the challenges can be surmounted. Further to this, the management should set modalities in motion to forestall and arrest any unwanted gathering amongst the students, which could beget cultism, sexual harassment, thuggery, drug abuse and other social vices.
The management is hereby enjoined to put measures in place to scrutinize who comes in and goes out of the institution on daily basis, to check the infiltration of bad eggs. Egbe buburu lo n ba iwa rere je, and the earlier we start this the better for us. While blocking the external vices, the internal mechanisms should also not be let loose. The students and staff should at all time be a good model through their physical appearance, public comportment, interpersonal relationship and day-to-day engagements. If we can't have it better than "the better by far University", we should definitely work at not having less.
Finally, it must be noted that we can only bend a stick when fresh and wet, as trying same with the long dried stick is an application to breaking it. So, let's catch them young. May you never suffer retrogression as you have chosen to thread this path of patriotism and for displaying a true sense of trueborn.
Once again, Congratulations.
